The life-cycle of a blackberry.

The girls went without because they didn’t eat their supper.
And here’s a good story to go with the pie…

I am outside taking the photos and singing as I do it to keep the groundhogs at bay.
I turn around and about 20 feet to my left are two baby deer. They were RIGHT out in the open of the yard. I mean RIGHT there!!
Being the stealth nature photographer than I am… I screamed. And they about-faced-it right back into the pines. Now – I actually HAD my camera. I actually HAD it on. And *sigh* I still have no photo.

Independence Day FUN!

We had a wonderful time celebrating July 4th.
After a long day of working, Daddy and Mommy decided it was high time to treat our kids to a fun July 4th!
[Historically it is a day Mommy either works, or we just have a BIG workday at home.]
We headed to Grace and Truth Sports Park in North Greece
We got there around 7:20PM and sadly, the kids’ inflatables were slated to come down at 8:30PM, so we were not able to use as many as the kids would have liked. We did get a chance to do a few, and to go to the Face Painting booth. The kids love that.
The best part was being scouted out by a friend who sent her daughter over to find us. We were then invited to spend the evening with some of our friends from our homeschool group. The boys were ecstatic. How ecstatic???… well, we connected with them at 8:30PM and the fireworks didn’t start until 10PM and they didn’t whine even ONCE while we waited!
The fireworks were better than Walt Disney World. Hands down. NO COMPARISON!!
We weren’t the only ones enjoying them, however. They speculated over 15,000 people were there and when we got to our car to go home at 10:54PM, we didn’t move it an inch until 11:39PM. We didn’t get home until 12:23AM!
But Mommy thinks it was worth it!!!

Champ's birthday!

Nan asked Champ on the weekend what the best part of his birthdays were. He answered, “when I wake up in the morning and there are balloons on my chair!”
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Legos
Sandals

Sharky Swim Shorts!

Check out the grin!
NARNIA play set with Lucy and Aslan.
While the kids have not yet read the books or seen the movies, they have a general idea of the story and love the Kings and Queens !

Police costume. Complete with handcuffs!
All that before BREAKFAST…
Off to SEABREEZE!!
OVER THE FALLS! THE best ride in the entire world! And we LOVED it.
This was my favorite as a kid, and it still totally rocks!

Angel’s first drive alone.

The Music Express. Beau has been aching to go on this. On our last three trips he could not because he is the only child tall enough, but there is no way he could go on it alone. As it was, Daddy had to hold on to him when it got whipping fast. I think he would have slid out for sure, he is so skinny! Right through the bars!!!!!!

He read all his own cards, being such a good reader and all! Check out the cake …
Doesn’t every kid want a first century Christian on their birthday cake??
That is Zakkai, a/k/a Zak from Focus on the Family’s Storykeepers.
Now I have frosted everything.
“Cha, cha, cha!”

He had to work at the candles!
Happy birthday, Sweetie!
