Here we are NY

This was the first time that John and I visited NY at the same time since we moved two years ago.

We were eager to visit PCC Sunday morning.

Bill met us at the door.

And we were happy to get lots of hugs and hellos.
I took precious few photos because I was doing lots of visiting.

We went back to Nan’s and changed and then picked up PIZZA AND WINGS and headed to Ba and Poppy’s to visit.

Hotel breakfast and Ba and Poppy

We enjoyed a night in the hotel.  And by enjoyed, I mean slept a tiny bit.  For some reason none of us slept well.  The heater unit was fairly noisy.
Breakfast included some of the best bacon ever, and we were on the road around 8AM.

Broken up this way makes the drive seem very short.

We headed directly to Ba and Poppy’s and it was nice enough to visit on the porch a bit.

I was getting extremely tired, so we headed over to Nan’s where we toured her beautiful new house and I fell asleep on her living room floor.

Ba’s birthday trip to Genesee Country Village & Museum

It seemed like a good idea in October.  We gave Ba a card letting her know we were going to take her to GCV&M for their “Preparing for the Holidays” winter event.

It was MAYBE 33 degrees…

And doesn’t everyone want to see pigs dunked and butchered for their birthday?

She was a good sport.  (Actually, she had a lot of fun.)

And we went to Cracker Barrel afterwards for a big meal.  (After stopping first at a town restaurant that literally closed when they saw us walk up, and then trying a little bar/deli/Italian place that served meals on those wimpy paper plates.)  We piled into and out of the car so many times we REALLY worked up an appetite!

Longhorn

Ba and Poppy (John’s parents) treated us to dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse as a thank you.  John had helped them sell some things on Craigslist.  I took the camera.  We don’t get out much.  😉

I promise… Stewart and I were there, too.  Just didn’t make it into photos.
