Friend's birthday party

We panned for gems and fossils,
took some awesome rides down a FAST slide,
and jumped to the sky on a pillow! Mama, too!
I know, I know… you wish you had a pic of THAT!

The Fun Never Stops

As if it weren’t enough fun to go to Urgent Care last night to have Skeezix’ staples removed from her head, we added to the laughs by going to the DDS today to have Champ’s bottom, left, front tooth extracted. The adult tooth was coming in behind it. That is a fun trick Beau likes to do, too. He has had 3 teeth extracted in the last 12 months.
Can you believe I don’t have any photos?

As we don’t do the tooth fairy thing, our family celebrates lost teeth with ice cream. The person who has lost a tooth gets to pick the half-gallon’s flavor. Well, actually it is only 1.75 quarts these days, huh? BUT – just as I was about to drive my arrows to Walmart to pick it out, I suddenly remembered all the Hallowe’en garbage that would be strewn all over the store. [Thank you, LORD for the head’s up.] So plan B was Daddy to go after work and call Champ from the freezer case to read off flavors. We had chocolate chip.

I am a bit STRESSED this week. Do I sound tense????? I will be moving non-stop until NEXT Tuesday evening. I am not making that up. Well, actually, there are about 90 minutes Saturday morning not accounted for. I still have one Indian costume to make before Friday’s Praise Party, too. I love the person who invented Fabric-Tack.

I’m not complaining, per se. There is a lot of fun stuff crammed into that week. But I am just warning anyone who may tell me something important that I can’t promise I will record it in my gray matter the first go around. You may want to email it. 😛

Hey… at least next Tuesday evening when I go to bed I can have dreams of electoral colleges dancing in my head.

May God have mercy on us all. 😛

And may Ohio, Florida and Virginia decided to be “pro-America” come Tuesday. 😉

It's Time for VEGGIETALES!

Okay – Blogspot loaded these out of order! But it isn’t important enough to rearrange. 😛
We went to VeggieTales God Made You Special Live yesterday in Buffalo at the Chapel at Crosspoint. It was wonderful. Even with “general seating,” my family scored front-row seats. And we didn’t knock down a single person to get them! 😉
Now – personally, I don’t care much for front row, but try convincing 8, 6, and 4 year olds that the performance would be better enjoyed from further away. Yeah… NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. They loved it and bought some souvenirs with their hard-earned money.

I always knew it would be her

Of all our kids, it was going to be Skeezix.
She is a remarkably happy girl.
She is bubbly, spunky and always on the go.
She is also the most likely to get hurt.
And get hurt she did.

She was running and playing with the boys.
She hit the fridge, ricocheted off and into the counter.
She started screaming about her elbow.
JB attended to it.
Then he called me in with *that voice.*
Blood all over her hair.
I couldn’t even look.
JB’s parents were here for dinner.
Off to urgent care.
5 “staples” later…
She was a CHAMP! She ROCKED! ♥ ♥ ♥
I took the photos so she could see what it looked like.
Me being me… sharing them came next. 😉
