Blogger blues…

Not too much going on around here.
I am not a huge fan of fall.

This week, as the boys and I were reading about Pocahontas [she became a Christian, you know!] I noticed something LARGE on my neighbors’ roof!

I took about 12 photos, but will only share two.

Isn’t that cool?

Make them big [click on them] and check it out! TURKEYS! Who knew?
Okay – maybe lots of people knew… but we just found out. 🙂

I love living in the outskirts of town. ♥

Champ did GREAT!

He handled every piece of it SO well.
He fasted without a single complaint and he was as patient as can be in all the hurry-up-and-wait moments.
He came out of the anesthesia gently and we were home by about 6:45PM.
He enjoyed french fries and a cheeseburger, to boot!
We are just so grateful for you prayers. They were all answered.
THANK YOU!!!

Check out what he selected from the “Pirates’ Toy Closet.” Apparently this dog was donated about two years ago, but then somehow moved to another area when JCAHO inspections were pending. For whatever reason, a nurse pulled it out this afternoon and placed it in the closet. She tried to encourage a boy to choose it a few hours earlier, but he passed. Champ was ALL over it! I can tell you that dog was waiting for Champ all this time. It is PERFECT for him. It suits him to a “T.” [It is not so perfect for mom… how in the world will I get rid of it now? Mommy guilt will be HUGE on that one.]

Fun

Seabreeze was a bust. It was the busiest I have ever seen it. We suggested to the kids we go home, pull out our new fire pit and make s’mores. They upped the ante, asking to make hot dogs. So we stopped at the store for dogs. We’ve never done this before. I was happy to see them LOVE it so much!

Dinner tastes so good when you cook it yourself!

On to S’mores!

Hmmmm – like mother,

like daughter??

Check out her hair!

Don’t worry! Daddy got some, too!

Dayspring Academy is back in session!

While Skeezix started reading and writing last spring, we have just today started her math. She sees that as the official marker of doing school.

She did it alright! She did a week’s worth of math in ten minutes.
She cried through cursive.
I totally should have taken a picture of that… but the camera battery had died.
