Operation Christmas Child

Sometimes when you act as if you are blessing others,
you are really blessing the socks off yourself.
This week, Beau and I went out and got a lot of good things for Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse.
If you are not familiar with this ministry, I encourage you to watch this video.
Tonight, after dinner, we sat on the floor in Mom and Dad’s room and assembled our boxes. We started with family prayer. Skeezix astonished this Mama with her offering of prayer. Wow. ♥
A few of the photos are blurry, but since you can’t recreate everything, I am keeping and sharing them, just the same!
Surprisingly, Angel quickly moved past the fact the gifts were not for her.
She really enjoyed this activity.
Champ and I tried to imagine who might get his box. We prayed the child would be healthy.

Skeezix prayed that all the kids who got these boxes would know about Jesus and go to Heaven when they died.

Beau worked so hard to try to get all of his things in without help from Dad.
In the end, he needed just a bit of guidance.

We even have a little more room and are going to get crayons, tomorrow.

Personally, I think this was better than Christmas morning, for Mama.

Mama’s prayer is that her children would grow to appreciate how luxurious our lives are and to be mindful of the lot of others. I pray that at the right time, God would make their hearts heavy to do His work. And that they would willingly obey whatever He calls them to do in service to Him.
