The ways of a four-year-old!

“Mama! Take my picture.

Look at my guys!”

What do you think of this set-up?
With two boards and two separate sets
of cards, there are no fights!
Their idea… not mine.
LOVE IT!

PS – this is two days later….

I am cracking up at myself!!!

Angel is THREE, not FOUR!

GOOD GRIEF!

Nan's birthday… second try

Since Beau was so sick on Nan’s real birthday and we were all really sick the following weekend, we had to push out cake and singing to this weekend. The cake was a mess. I tried to make a homemade carrot cake, but it over flowed the pans and then sunk. Then, I couldn’t use the cream cheese I had bought because it contained the warning, “May contain traces of almonds, walnuts and peanuts.” So I had to use a tub of frosting… and there wasn’t enough. At least the picture isn’t too bad!

Untitled post

As I was running this post through my head, a few different titles popped in… then out, as possibilities.
First I thought, “Tie-breaker.”
Then I considered, “The Cat is Out of the Bag.”
I also thought, “Room for More.”
And a few others I can’t remember any more.
What is going on?
Well, JB, the kids and I are thrilled to share that we are expecting our fifth child next May.
So after two boys, two girls and a cat of each sex, we will tip the scales one way or the other in favor of male or female.
Wondefully enough, the kids have NOT each proclaimed that they would like one of their gender!
I could say lots more, and I will as the weeks go on, but I still not 100% well and I am heading to bed.
If you would, please say a prayer for our little one’s well-being. Both my doctor and the pediatrician expressed concern over my prolonged fever last week. But I do know that God is in control and I will not spend time worrying.
Oh – and by the way, this little one’s nickname is, “Scooter.”
We have called each of the kids by a nickname whilst we were expecting them.
Beau was, “Beau.”
Champ was, “Baby B*****.” [Champ was a later moniker.]
Skeezix was, “Skeezix.”
Angel was, you guessed it, “Angel.”
Just a few weeks ago Angel told me, “If we every have a-nudder baby, I want to call him, ‘Scooter.'”
And so we are. ♥
