Nan’s birthday
Tuesday was Nan’s birthday.
She met us at the Rec. Center, where Angel does dance.
Nanny waltzed around the building with Scooter as the big three did Astronomy with me. Nanny and Scooter got lots of attention, and I got lots of pictures.
Scooter may be the official baby in this house, but don’t tell Angel. It is pretty clear she still holds on to some of her former title, as she climbs onto the back of the sit-n-stand every possible chance.
We headed over to Pizza Hut for our yummy lunch buffet, where I tried
and tried,
and tried,
and TRIED to get a photo.
At the zoo we had a bit more success…
minus a whole child and birthday girl.
This is where I could put in countless photos of fences, with a blurry animal behind it, courtesy of my photogs…
And this one of my handsome 10 year old. ♥
Altogether, I think Nanny had a swell day.
HAPPY BIRHDAY, NAN!!

Happy Feet
A few months back, I treated myself to some lavender nail polish, thinking it would make me happy.
It didn’t. No… not because things of this world can’t make a person happy, but because it was too light.
Well, last week I got to Walmart and was looking at canning supplies… and since canning supplies are right near the cosmetics… I wandered over and one thing came to another and I treated myself again!
This time?…… my feet are HAPPY!
And alas… yes, that is my “Seabreeze-tan” fading rapidly…
Sunday’s Cool
JB and I were convicted LAST year to keep the
boys home from Sunday school each week.
We had them do a pre-inductive Psalm study
with Daddy.
It went really well.
This year, after reading the book Already Gone,
we were further convicted to bring the girls in, too.
And it is really cool!
Another toy to enjoy!
Basement progress…
About 21 months ago we started the basement… You may remember this post.
JB just took off another week and made some new progress in the basement!!
Electric is done, as is insulation, and some other walls and framing.
We have some folks coming next week to drywall.
Then we are done for another 6 months or so.
‘Cuz we ran out of money. 😉
