The girls got to celebrate the badges they had earned this year in AHG Troop NYS 1202.
There are four levels of girls – Pathfinders, Tenderhearts, Explorers, and Pioneers/Patriots. As Tab was the only Pathfinder, she was selected for the color guard. Well, they then drew names in each level for a girl from each level to be flag bearer. Believe-it-or-not, Marie’s name was selected as the Tenderheart. I am not the leader… I promise! Marie kept asking over and over, “Is this the day I get to participate?” She was elated.
Tab had a number of keen moments. She got to receive the “Joining Award,” as she is now old enough to be a Tenderheart and had done all the work she needed to be a true American Heritage Girl.
The girls earned badges – “Kid Care,” “Cake Decorating,” “Engineering,” “Our Flag,” “Fire Safety,” and “Sign Language.”
Tab also got to cross-over to the new group!
It was a family affair. Marie and Tabitha were so proud.
Mom and Dad were, too.
