Katriel is six!

I am excited to share some photos from Katriel’s super fun Froggy themed birthday party.

Hanny was eager to help decorate and she had a vision for the door way.  She used almost two full rolls of green, but it was very cool.

Our pond.

I think I would like frogs better if they all looked as cute as this one!

They made froggy headbands.

And sat on lilypads (the white circles on the carpet) while I read some stories.

Some photos are uploading incorrectly, but I can’t figure that out…

We tossed froggies on to lilypads.

IMG_4328

And did some water color painting.

Gifts are fun, too.

And Tabitha made her some frog cupcakes.

As parents came to pick them  up a few of the kids used the mom-is-talking-time to play soccer(?) in the front yard.

She’s so sweet.  I love my baby girl.

New Blog Address

I am sad it has come to this, but I have needed to move to another platform in order to continue with my blog.  While I know only a few friends stop by to read, I like to maintain my blog as a growing history of the Butler family activities.  I already see my big kids popping in and out of the blog to either find photos, or to reminisce.

If you’d like to follow us to another location, our new blog address is
 https://dayspringdisciples.home.blog/

It looks a little different, but it is me.  Us.  The Butlers.

Thanks for loving our family.

Froggy Party–Katriel is SIX!

New blog, and I have some kinks to work out.  With that said, I am excited to share some photos from Katriel’s super fun Froggy themed birthday party.

A First for the Last

Katriel wasn’t quite sure she liked the idea of teeth coming out.  Even though we celebrate with ice cream, she wondered about how the whole thing would feel.   As it got looser and looser, she got a little anxious and confessed her concerns.  I reminded her that Jesus knew exactly how she felt.  I reminded her that Jesus was once almost six years old and how He had His first loose tooth and that He understood exactly how she felt.  We prayed.  She got braver about wiggling it, which we were happy about, because the adult tooth had already erupted behind the baby tooth.  And then, she started asking Mama to try to pull on it.  And most of the times we tried, it wasn’t quite ready.  Then on Sunday night… voila!

She was ecstatic.  Just one week shy of six, she danced around the kitchen and ran through the house to show all her siblings.  Moments later she had her boots on and Daddy was taking her to Walmart to pick out her ice cream.

Puzzling

Tab got a few new puzzles since Christmas.  We’ve enjoyed working on them.

Some have been harder than others.
