It’s a Jungle Out There

Katriel was T.E.R.R.I.F.I.E.D. for her annual well-child-check.  She was timorous worrying about any possible vaccinations.  It wasn’t until the nurse was able to tell her that she did not have any scheduled shots that she could enjoy her friends in the waiting room.  Thankfully, she had time to do it before being called in.

CBS PJT Showcase

As the videographer for CBS this year, I record the material for the group, often neglecting my own camera.

Today the JT part of PJT (Primary-Junior-Teen) class share a skit.  Tab and Marie had some small parts.  Then Johanna’s class of P’s shared a few songs.  She wasn’t supposed to be highlighted in the center, but the way the kids took to the stage she ended up dead center without anyone in front of her.  This would cause some Butler kids to die of embarrassment.  Thankfully, Johanna is made of different ilk, and she owned her hand motions and lyrics.  ♥

March Madness

Let’s start by saying how much I miss my blog.  Not only have I been busy… but blogging hit a major snag as my Open Live Writer blog template software was no longer supporting Blogger.  Or vice versa.  Then I found my way to WordPress, only to see some questionable ads mixed into my blogging.

Now, I’ve found a way to have ad-free WordPress ($3/month is worth it), and I am going to try to get used to this.

I do not like the format, but it’s going to have to do for now.

So – I’m going to try to return to posting family experiences.

Thank you for following along.

Marie and Tori

I learned my lesson by from not taking enough still images yesterday.  OY.

Marie and I left for Toronto around 10:30AM.  The drive was a little stressful and there was snow…

We were on the “14th” floor of the hotel.  The room was lovely – no photos – oy.
We did get to use the hot tub.

IMG_5126IMG_5131

We did a little walking around and it was cold.  And there wasn’t really anything open in the “entertainment district” for us to do, so we watched HGTV and chilled in the room and went out again at dinner time.

I’d found somewhere to eat just across the street from the Roy Thomson Hall where Tori Kelly would be singing later.

Marie had fish tacos and I had a mushroom and beef pot pie.  I was definitely doing the Brit thing.  It was delicious.

We ate this desert which they called Big Ben and we called amazing.

Tori Kelly has the voice of an angel.

We are in the nosebleed seats…  But it was still great.
