We’ve been super intentional with Marguerite and Jeff about getting together each month for fellowship. It was a PERFECT weekend for it, as Noelle and Nan were visiting. The other two in the photo are Joseph’s girlfriend, Katelyn, and her daughter, Kaia.
PLUS! Our friends Karl and Mary were visiting from NY. They are looking into moving to Greenville later this year.
It was a VERY busy weekend – but such a joyful one.
I love my girl so much.
I dropped her off at the Winter Formal, which had a medieval theme.

The line dancing is my favorite to watch, and I did make it back before pick up to catch some of the coolest young people in the world doing the paired line dancing (think square dancing, but along a line.)

At one point, the smoke machines set off the fire alarms… and I am sure this fire fighter is still talking about this call.
Most of the moms (this is Staci and Courtney) dressed up for the event.
We had a fabulous, Marvel-themed birthday party for Katriel.
She came up with all the games, and Mrs. Heather helped print us off some Marvel Bingo.
They made some cool obstacle courses and Hero Training ideas outside. (The rain stopped by the time the friends came over.)
We drank “Hulk Punch,” had some pizza and fruit.
And, of course, cup cakes.
It was super cool.
I do not know how it happened. Our sweet “Ducky” is now 10 years old!
She didn’t wait around for the family tradition of waking up the birthday kid with a song. She wanted to be up and around for every minute of her special day.
She started her day digging into her CBS.
It was “dress like a pirate day” at co-op, so she was ready for that before opening a few gifts from Nan.
After a wonderful day at co-op, we had a simple dinner and did gifts.
She got a picture of a ruffed grouse from Nigel. That is her favorite bird.

Her request for a chocolate cake was easy to comply with.

Katriel’s sweet CBS teacher celebrated her birthday today, complete with some yummy donuts. We have been blessed near and far by CBS. And now donuts, too!
No, no. I haven’t gotten there yet. But a friend of mine had a pair of tickets to gift to someone and Stewart and Noelle got to head up for a visit during her week with us.
Nan arrived last night for a one month visit!

I meet the nicest people on my message board, including Val who lives about an hour from me. She alerted me to a Celtic Festival in NC this weekend. I love doing new things and I feel like for many years of our lives we could not do them because of my weekend work schedules.
It was brisk, but sunny. We watched some sheep dogs directing both sheep and,
um, ducks. Does that make them duckdogs?
This is me meeting Val, who was dressed for the event.
We did a lot of browsing, but didn’t buy much.
We tried a plate with (Americanized) haggis, shepherd’s pie, and some beef.
The girls got some crepes from a food truck.
John was enthralled by the highland cows.
And Katriel brought a cow home!
The LORD has always put people in the boys’ lives to encourage them in their film making. Recently, Stewart was gifted some camera managing gear.
I’m sure he already has a vision!
