While I was driving home from NY and John was in Italy, and Stewart was in NC, Nigel was baptized. Thankfully, friends were there to take photos and support him. He was baptized in 2018 at 15 years old, but made this profession of faith today.
It will be fun, she said.
Oh – man –
it was supposed to be so easy.
Invite friends over.
Grill.
It was raining sideways.
John’s clothes poured water out over the floor.

Which just means we are busy again – YAY.
Marie couldn’t think of anything she wanted for dinner – then I suggested fish tacos and we had a life changing meal.
And then she requested a new kind of dessert. We gave it multiple thumbs up.

We were able to include a day trip to GCV&M while back in NY.
We hadn’t been there since before the lockdown, so it was very special to visit again.
Sadly, some of the buildings were without docents as they’d worked on the holiday (7/4) which was Tuesday and a day they’d normally have been off. Nonetheless, it was a warm, wonderful outing.
Katriel was able to see her birthday buddy, Miss Pam.
We were happy to have Madeline visit with us.
