This is a few weeks old. It was taken when I was healing from the appendectomy.
I am sure you can see why it made me feel good all over. ♥![]()
Although – I know that she isn’t just a Disney Princess…
she is God’s little Princess!
[And her Mommy and Daddy’s, too!]
Champ is Nine…
Nine years have passed since our Champ came into the world, 7½ weeks too early.
God’s hand has been on him and we are enjoying watching him grow into a wonderful young man.
Mommy worked Saturday, so Daddy, Nan, Nene, and the kiddos went to the zoo for a while. I stopped for pizza and wings on the way home [yummmmm – my kids have GREAT taste!] and we had a quiet celebration at home.

So far behind…
I am so far behind in blogging…
I was retelling our trip to Florida, but that was going slowly.
I never got the pics up from
the baby’s first birthday.
Then there was the whole appendectomy…
*sigh*
This year has been a hard one, blog-wise. But here are two photos.
The first is of Angel and her Speech Pathologist. Yesterday was her last day of services. Mrs. Chapman was such a blessing. She worked hard with my little girl and we saw great progress. There is still a way to go, but Angel isn’t severe enough to qualify for services next year as a homeschool student.
We are glad we had Mrs. Chapman in our lives this year. We hope that we somehow blessed her, as well.
This is my countertop today.
I did now wake up this morning planning to make jam, but my friend Jennifer gave me strawberries from her garden. Then she gave me some Certo. And some sugar. 🙂
Thankfully, Aunt Betty accepts phone calls
with jam-making questions all day long!
A blast from the past

First Magic Kingdom Day
After a day by the pool on Tuesday, we were ready to hit the Magic Kingdom bright and early on Wednesday. The weather was gorgeous and HOT! [Love it!]
After parking at the Transportation and Ticket Center we rode the ferry to get in position before rope drop.
We took a few minutes to sunscreen! ![]()
The morning did NOT start out quite as we had planned, however. MY touring plan had us heading directly to the Rapunzel Meet and Greet to meet the newest princess and her brave friend Flynn Ryder. Despite moving quickly to the castle, our group [notice the word group] showed up in time to be told we would likely be part of the third group to enter the meeting area… around 10:15AM. It was 9:06AM at that time. We made the difficult decision NOT to spend our first hour in line and abandoned that plan. Everyone agreed, but it was clear a little later that Angel wasn’t sure why she hadn’t met Rapunzel. It broke my heart a bit, but she wasn’t frantic or demanding. Just confused. I made up my Mommy-mind then that we’d try again [harder!] next week.
Our day was not a bust, however.
We met characters.
Rode lots of rides.
Ate a lot!
[This Coke wasn’t hers, but she didn’t know that!]
And enjoyed the parade!

More rides, including all the Mountains – Splash, Big Thunder, and Space.
Mommy, Daddy and the girls voted NO for future rounds of Space Mountain. Poor Angel. She sat behind me and every time the ride evened out for slightly a moment, I’d hear a pitiful little voice calling, “Mommy?”
Scooter even got to go on a few rides! She liked It’s a Small World.![]()
We found our spot for the even festivities a solid 75 minutes before they started. My kids did a magnificent job staying entertained on the sidewalk. People from trying to squeeze into our spots, sadly.
We actually had to defend ourselves somewhat. Crazy. ![]()
I brought Glo-sticks from home to entertain us between the Wishes! fireworks and the Electrical Parade.
Some of the kids enjoyed them more than others.
We were toasted by the time we left at 10:40PM.
Check out Beau’s neck gear!!!
