Students’ CBS Play.

It’s that time of year again.  The older kids got to be a part of the annual CBS play.  Stewart has been doing FLCC Biology class this semester and was not part of the production, but he DID get finished in lab early enough to come over and watch it!

Kids’ last CBS concert together (?) and caroling

As my kids prepared for CBS this morning I had to offer my oldest kids a little in the way of a pep talk.  For reasons I can’t quite explain this puts them out of their comfort zone.

As they climbed out of the van to head in, it dawned on me this was very likely the only time all six of them would be on a stage together, ever.  This is the first year Katriel was up there, and probably the last year Stewart would be.  Frankly, it is a blessing they are even all there together this once.

So yeah.

A big Christmas blessing for this Mama.

Later the youngest three and I went to church to go out caroling.

Do you see that look on Katriel’s face?
Yes… that just about describes how it went, too.

CBS 2016

I don’t often think to take “first day” photos of things, but I did decide to grab a shot of the first day of CBS.  These kids have grown up attending.

Kids’ CBS play

Each year the school-aged kids at CBS are involved in a spring production.  This year the director of the Children’s Program asked Stewart to write the script.  He was asked to base it on a principle gleaned from this year’s study.  (We’ve done Ephesians, Philippians, James, and 1 John.)  It ended up being about… well… watch the video.  🙂
Nigel had a starring role, Marie was a narrator, and Tabitha had a supporting role.

CBS Christmas concert

Given enough time, I might be able to figure out just how many Christmas concerts my kids have participated in for CBS over the years.  But I don’t have to time to figure that out right now.  It’s been quite a few.

Yet, each one brings me to tears.  I love this program.  I love what they teach and I love how much my kids love CBS.

Blast from the past?

This is my all-time favorite singing clip.
Go ahead, watch it… just don’t take a drink before you do.  Crazy, funny, Nigel.

UGH – you tube won’t let me post b/c my accounts are blended or something.  I am too frustrated to mess with google.  I hate google.

anyway – here is a link to the video.

CBS

Just a few pictures from CBS.  We have been tremendously blessed to have the homeschool program reinstated this year in our favored location. This was possible ONLY by the amazing volunteers.  My kids are so blessed, as am I.  The big kids and I are studying I and II Kings, and some of the minor prophets of that time.  I wish I knew at 6, 8, 10 & 12 what these kids know.  Good stuff.  Johanna is doing the regular preschool rotation.  This year she has done Adam and Eve, Hannah and Samuel, Daniel, and others.  Good stuff.
