Art and an Outing

They are making Disney inspired posters.

So many sweet characters.

IMG_3070

We dropped off Marie and Tabitha to a skating date with friends and we grabbed a quick lunch at Wendy’s.

IMG_3071

Then off to get hair cuts.

They keep talking about this coronavirus coming.

LORD have mercy.

Swim lessons–and beyond!

Katriel wore her new “Jessie” inspired dress today to CBS.

IMG_2997

After lunch, Nan took her to her personal swim class.  She was the only homeschooler to sign up for this class and they kept it!  She LOVED IT.

Katriel is SEVEN!

We performed the traditional “Happy Birthday Wake Up Song” before Daddy left for work.

IMG_2909

And there was one small present to enjoy throughout the day.

IMG_2913IMG_2918

Nan came by around lunch time to offer her some sweet gifts.

IMG_2928IMG_2931

Around lunchtime, Belle and I, I mean Katriel and I got in the van and headed over to wish a special birthday buddy a happy birthday.

IMG_2933IMG_2935IMG_2936

Daddy got home a little early and VOILA! – we surprised the family with an outing to Chuck E. Cheese.

IMG_2945IMG_2946IMG_2948IMG_2949IMG_2953IMG_2955IMG_2961IMG_2968IMG_2972IMG_2975IMG_2976

It was a really fun day to turn 7.

A Stitch Party!

The sandbox in the family room was the first indication it was going to be a great day!

IMG_2793

A Stitch themed party had a few dear friends hanging out with us.

We made some leis.

IMG_2799

And did some scratch offs.

IMG_2800IMG_2801IMG_2804

And found seashells in the sand.

IMG_2806IMG_2810

And drank some Alien Punch.

IMG_2812IMG_2814IMG_2817

And bowled for surf boards.

IMG_2820

And gratefully accepted gifts.

IMG_2848IMG_2854IMG_2864IMG_2880

And maybe mom enjoyed the sand after the friends left.

Isaiah 46:4
Even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.

Another musical

Johanna and Katriel had a show for us tonight.

IMG_2705

We got wrist bands as we entered and we were escorted to our assigned seats.

IMG_2707

We take theater seriously.

Isaiah 64:8
But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.

Devo time

Katriel wrote a devotional.
Really.
She wrote four entries to teach us about not bragging, and not lying, and being kind.

I kinda sorta love her to pieces.

*Yes, that’s a Belle day dress.  ♥

Isaiah 4:8
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.

More and more Narnia

Poppy was able to make it out to Hanny’s afternoon show!

IMG_2640

And some random photos from our thespian.

Getting her hair back under control was miserable and painful and she was so tired she would start to cry and say she wanted to go to bed.

IMG_2659IMG_2660IMG_2661IMG_2662IMG_2663

It took 80 minutes.  I don’t know if I’d let her do that to her hair again TBH.
