Two armed worship

My friend Kelly took this photo.
We are not as young as we used to be, and I don’t know how many more times both little girls will ask John to lift them up during worship.  I’m delighted that Kelly snuck a pic.  And I love how Katriel has her hand on Johanna’s.

I’m VERY much aware of how quickly life is flying by.  I’m glad this moment is preserved.

Doughnuts for Hanny

I’m catching up my blog five weeks late.
I can’t remember why Hanny was being treated out for a doughnut.
I can remember that she wanted to invite Katriel.
So they dined on donuts.

Wednesday night fun

For a few years now, Nigel and Katriel have found themselves at home on Wednesday nights while others are in programing.

I curb what I want to say, because I know he gets annoyed/embarrassed when I talk about how great a guy he is.  But he is a fantastic big brother, as evidenced by the photos I occasionally sneak.

Just three kids?!

There were only three kids at home at dinner time tonight.  Stewart was at work, and Marie and Tab were sleeping over at Nan’s house.  We decided the remaining five might like dinner at the food court.

Nigel’s loaded fries looked amazing.

I do love my food court Chinese food a few times a year.

Sometimes I take their photos

just to have them on my phone so I can look at them later.  Like a take-with-me album of our days.

She asked for the last bits of my coffee.  I love this quirk about her.

I can’t believe she will soon be four.

A winter tea party

Mrs. Mrs. Fuhrman invited us for another tea party.
This time she presented the girls with a princess theme that went over exceedingly well.

Katriel quickly spotted the animal crackers available to serve the dollies.  She may or may not have sampled all a few of them.

Mrs. Mrs. Fuhrman suggested that the girls bring a special doll to share in the party.
This is what they brought.
Really.

You can’t always be dainty when you are three…

It was such a fun and special treat.

Here’s a funny story about it.  Johanna had two cards for Mrs. Mrs. Fuhrman.  The day after we got home, I asked her to make a Thank You card.  She said, “No.”  She had already made two cards.  She was tired when I asked, so I let it go.  Then a day or two later we asked her again.  She was as steadfast as she could be.  She said, “I already told you, I already gave her a thank you card.”  And she would NOT make another card.  It’s not that she doesn’t like making cards.  She makes cards and notes all the time.  But she was standing on the principle of the thing.  So she didn’t make a card.

Back to school

Christmas break is over and it is back to the books…  Katriel isn’t so keen on sharing her siblings with higher learning.  She comes around for snuggles as often as possible.
