He made me a polished arrow

Isaiah 49:1-3 The Servant of the Lord

Listen to me, O coastlands, and give attention, you peoples from afar.  The Lord called me from the womb, from the body of my mother He named my name.  He made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand He hid me;  He made me a polished arrow; in his quiver He hid me away.  And He said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”

“Who Can He Be?” 2013

Once again this year our church did a performance depicting Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.

Last year the big four and I were in it.

Because of my expecting and delivering Katriel, it was not possible for me to be part of the production this year.  Instead, John donned costumes and hit the stage.  He first played a townsfolk, then a Roman Solider.

My sister, Kelly, was also part of the production.

He was much more intimidating before he held the newborn.  😉

Or the smiley almost-3-year-old.

Johanna took to the stage, too.  Albeit, before the production started.  😉
What can I say?  It runs in the family?

She has a role picked out for the future…?

That Flashing Thing

“Hmmmm.  It seems every time my eyes are open that Mommy-lady is holding that big black thing in front of her face and making it light up.  She talks about something called, ‘Cheese.’”

Party-time [again]

It wouldn’t be summer for these Disciples if we didn’t have parties.  Lots of them.

On July 9th we celebrated Beau’s 11th, Champ’s 9th, and Skeezix’s 7th.  We were blessed with a gorgeous day to share with our awesome family, and friends-who-might-as-well-be-family!

Just because it wasn’t her birthday didn’t mean Angel had to go without!  Nope – there are always a few family members that feel badly that she is “left out.”

HIS baseball

Our baseball/T-ball season was short this year.  Really short.  Kids played three games.

We were out of town for two, two got rained out, I had my appendix out one week…  Smile with tongue out

Boys didn’t get shirts as we missed the first two games.

But they still had fun.  Smile

It was Angel’s first year.
