Tabitha and Johanna set up a “library” in the basement.  Business was lagging, so Tabitha outfitted Johanna in a sandwich-style placard and sent her out to drum up business.

/r/ for reward!

We had a speech pathologist come for a few months this spring to help Tabitha polish her /r/ sound.  At first she wasn’t eager to have the lessons.  And there was a considerable amount of daily drills for her to do with me.  But I suggested that we could make a trip to Longhorn Steakhouse once she’d achieved her goal.

She made the goal.

We sent this video to her speech teacher.
To God be the glory.

But look at these grins…

Tabitha had a play date at a friend’s house.  It was a drizzly sort of day and they asked Sophia’s mom if they could bounce on the trampoline in the rain.  Well, apparently that got “dull” and they decided to have a mud war.  Then Tab –ahem- suggested a contest on who could get the muddiest.  Sophia decided to roll in a swale.  (Her suit is actually blue!)  Sophia won.   I’m so glad Sophia’s mom grabbed a picture!

Tabitha’s sunflower

Tab was given two sunflower seeds in her CBS class in later April.
We had then in a small cup on the window sill at first.
Then a larger container.
Then into big pots as soon as it was safe to put them out.
This is my doodle bug next to the smaller one; the larger one is just behind her.

Dayton’s Corners School House

In Nov. 2012, Marie, Stewart, and Nigel got to do a field trip at Dayton’s Corners School House.  They went with some friends, and Johanna and Tabitha and I went to the museum.  When another opportunity arose for Tabitha to get a turn we jumped on it.  Marie was more than happy to go again.

We made authentic lunches again.  Muffins, boiled eggs, cheese.  We gave them mason jars (albeit with metal, screw on lids) with lemondae, too.

They had a great time.  ♥

Do not be fooled by the innocent look on this imps eyes…
She fully exercised her rights as a resident two year old.
She wasn’t still or soft-spoken for a second.

Churchtime

We teach church time six times a year.  The older kids help often help out and take turns serving.
This week it was Tabitha’s turn.
