Our deck needed sealing.
I will spare all the details, and just reflect on the goodness of seeing the kids work along side John to make this big job very doable.
I can’t believe how fast they have grown up.
The bees were a problem the second day and John got creative.

John had the girls help him reap some of the garden’s harvest today.
It isn’t producing as much as other years. We blame a few different pieces.

Summer has been very slow to arrive this year.
Our first swim of the year did not arrive until today.
Ouch.
And even then it was too cold for me.

The boys had youth group – we had s’mores.
Summer’s coming!
I had a few minutes at the end of the day. We headed outside and I planned to look through the new Avon catalog. Then these little dolls asked me to push them on the swings. I put the catalog away for another time.
My big kids don’t ask me to push them on the swings any more. Too soon these ladies won’t be asking me anymore either.
Marie mowed a bit and when she was done she brought some milkweed over to show them how to peel it and what was inside.
The girls needed some help assembling the tent. Nigel stepped in. The girls played for some time and then Marie and Nigel joined them. They did some hiding and seeking in the woods. I love the view from my window.
The youth group met here for an evening of swim and study. It was the most people ever in the pool. I have to say, I love this picture because it really shows just how big the pool is.
