Chocolate Glory and more Preschool Pride

Remember our Easter chocolate extravaganza?

Well, the kids didn’t forget.

They asked tonight if they could dig into their gifts from Aunt Betty.

This is a classic Skeezix photo moment.

They usually get deleted, but I couldn’t resist this one.

Planning her attack…
“Take that!”

Happy to show off her “Dolly.”

Getting down to business.

“Whoa! I made a hole!”

After seeing how much fun his sisters were having

Champ decided to take a few bites out of his “Whalie.”

Now she is into some extreme eating.

“I will save the rest for later.”

“Can I have some ice cream?”

Seeing if he can see through the two holes he made.

Beau forsook the chocolate for some ice cream, instead.
Hmmm… could that be because the first born is calculating

that when everyone else’s chocolate is gone he will be the

only one partaking??

Can you tell Mama is a first-born?

[Actually, he is really just an ice-cream-kind-of-kid, unlike his Mama!]

Skeezix took a second to show Daddy what she learned today.
It has taken poor “Child Number Three” three

weeks to learn three letters…

because Mommy is too busy.

At this rate she will graduate some time before 2112.

She did A first, then C, then D. So we can now write a few words!
And this is Angel and one of her funny expressions.

She is so comical.

Garage sale scores!

We hit up a few garage sales this weekend.

Our goal was to find clothes for Skeezix,

who despite her tender age of four

wears more of a 5/6 or a true 6.

After a few false starts, we were totally blessed by one

house on a busy street that we almost zoomed past.
$5.25

While most of the stuff is play-clothes quality,

as opposed to church-wear, it will bless our rough
and tumble darling daughter with properly fitting clothes!

God is so cool.

And check this out…
I’ve always wanted a topiary!

This isn’t exactly my favorite color, but it isn’t my most hated color, either.

And while I hope no one ever really pays the stated price on these things…

I bet it cost more than the $8 I got if for on Friday!

And the kids’ favorite?

The $4 foosball table.

I love good deals like these!

I do plan to keep looking for size 6 girls’ clothes…

so if you see me at a garage sale, come say, “Hi!”
