It was time.

When your arms aren’t long enough to reach the ends of your hair when you have it up over your head trying to get rollers in it is time to cut it off.

I like long hair… but I get so tired of it.  I end up wearing it the same way over and over and over.  I am totally that person who can remember what/where/when something was done based on what my hair was like at that time.  I like variety.  🙂

I haven’t had a bob since grade three. We’ll see if I like it. I’ve done short-short. And I’ve grown it through the middle stages. But haven’t tried the bob-thing. No highlights either. It’s been since quite a while since I’ve had them. We’ll see how long this lasts.

Johanna loves it.

Square dancing with our PCC LEAH group

There was a family dance night with our homeschool group.  Or as Johanna called it, “The Ball.”

I’m not convinced they are any clearer on the difference between a do-si-do and a promenade left…

But we had a lot of fun.

Marie and Tabitha kept Daddy’s dance card completely full.

Game night

We don’t do stuff on Hallowe’en and frankly, we were exhausted after four busy night’s worth of activities.  So we tremendously enjoyed getting our jammies on early and having a family game night.

Do you have any idea how loud Yahtzee is with 8 of us?

Scientific Stew

Stewart’s Physical Science program is amazingly cool.  It is a CD-ROM program that he uses daily and it walks him through experiment after experiment.  He builds machines and then makes hypothesis as to how they will perform in certain tests.  He then conducts the test and evaluates his hypothesis.  Very neat stuff.

PS – I don’t make them dress the same – they did that so they could be on the same team at CBS.

Little sisters are interested, too.

Good Morning, Ducky-girl

DSC_5694

How cool is it that she is just so happy when she wakes up in the morning.  Just so happy for a new day and her family to make her glad.  We love her little scrunchy-nose.  The first day of CBS a friend of mine who helped in the nursery said, “I just love the way she smiles with her whole face.”  Yup.  And it makes my whole heart jump for joy.
