Angel's Party

When Angel woke up this morning,

she announced, “I’m a party-girl.”

That is cute.

She was tickled to run down the steps and see
how Daddy had transformed the family room.
She inspected every seat.
About 11:00 AM she dressed for her party,
and posed with her cake.
That is Eloise and Alexander from the VeggieTales movie,

“The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything.”

And she posed with her Mama, too.

Four wonderful families were able to join us.

We are blessed with such lovely friends.

Some dress up clothes and dancing.

[Mama wasn’t all that prepared for indoor parties!]

We carried “eggs” through the house.

We opened lovely gifts.

Sang, “Happy Birthday.”

Finally found some candles that would
stay lit long enough to blow out.

Easter pictures

What was waiting downstairs

from Mommy and Daddy.

What was waiting upstairs!
The boys and Aunt Betty.

A WHALE!

HAPPY!

HAPPY!

HAPPY!

Photo op. at church.

The Easter Bunny doesn’t come to our house.

But the AUNTS AND UNCLES do!

17 eggs per each of six children.

You do the math.

That is a LOT of sugar!

Sweet Skeezix.
Happy Angel.

So handsome.

Oh they are so cute.

“Us, too! Us, too!”

Easter Egg Hunting Team – 2009

Max in back.
Beau, Bear, Angel, Lamb, Skeezix, Champ.

“Mom. It’s kind of freezing for pictures,”

offered Beau.

Eighteen for dinner. No pictures of that mess.

We decided to sing happy birthday

to Angel at the last minute.

I am SO glad we sang to our EASTER baby!

She will be three on Thursday.

Who is having more fun?

Aunt Betty, Aunt Cathy, Uncle Dave 1, Uncle Dave 2, and Max came to visit for the weekend!
After dinner we got busy coloring eggs. First time in a few years.
Not the fanciest ones, but we had a LOT of fun!

Beau, Max, Skeezix, JB, Angel

Champ and Uncle Dave 2

Uncle Dave 1 showing Beau his technique.
[Uncle Dave’s eyes lit up when he heard we were coloring eggs!]

Hmmm – more adults than children!

Max helping Skeezix.

Are we related?

Working so hard!

My Masterpiece!

KIDS CREST

As Skeezix was standing in the bathroom, waiting her turn to brush, she clearly sounded out, “CR-Eh-Sss-T.” My head spun around and down to observe what she was doing. “K-ih-d-sssss, CR-Eh-Ssss-T. Kids Crest. Kids Crest, Mom. Right?”

Right?

Right?

RIGHT??

YES BABY GIRL!!! IT IS RIGHT!!!
I will never buy another toothpaste as long as I live!
[Okay – that was over the top. *snicker*]

SHE CAN READ!

Two weeks of “lessons,” and she can read!
Bring on the King James’ Version.
Bring on the Declaration of Independence.
Bring on the instructions to my new video camera.
The girl can read!
Seriously – this is a Praise for our sovereign God.
Most days I feel I can not carve myself into enough pieces to meet my children’s needs.
I question my ability to homeschool four kids.
This was some MUCH NEEDED affirmation that by His grace,
my kids will be reached as He directs.
And at least I brush their teeth, right?

I don't know what is scarier…

How poor these photos came out?

Or that my kids got BOWLING trophies!

Even Angel got one. She was delighted! ♥

Actually – I need to clear up that the bowling was fantastic.
It was a great winter sport for us.

I just get laughing at the notion of bowling for dollars. 😉

Only major negative is how LOUD bowling alleys are. Just talking to my kids over the noise makes it seem like I am yelling at them and my throat hurts after.
